The stage was set for a great match. You could hardly predict the winner though bookies were more inclined towards the younger, indefatigable man-machine Rafa.It so happened.
What energy and commitment from both players?? Both of them surely believe in the butterfly effect. Right from the word go, their game was impeccable. In the last set, fed lost his touch and Nadal took away the set and the trophy. What followed showed what the game means to an athelete. Roger Federer couldnt stop crying just because he couldnt win the Aus Open. Now i dont remember many such instances where a player who dint win, cried so long. Kambli comes to my mind, when he cried in the 1996 world cup. Federer proved that hes the real ambassador of tennis. The game means lot to him. A man of federer stature, could cry in front of jam-packed Australian crowd. The athlete-whom-Australia-loves-the-most proved why he has a huge fan following. He did manage to speak but again the emotions took over and he left the podium with words "Thank you people, what can i say? I'll come back next year."
The attitude of Federer even made Nadal say "Sorry" for defeating him. :) .. He's by far the best tennis player ever produced by the game. No wonder, why hes loved by the whole world. Even Australians, who are not famous for acknowledging emotions, are the biggest supporter of Federer, following ofcourse Swiss people.
The man needs to be saluted. Federer, i know you are reading my blog (hehe, jokes are permitted in between!!!) and i wish you the bestest of luck for the upcoming Grand slams.
P.S. By the way, i knw that federer kya, no1s readin my blog.. But its fyn..
